Jodan attack

Attacker: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)

Defender: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)


Attacker: Step in right jodan oi-zuki

Defender: Slide in left teisho to block arm and right teisho to solar plexus

(Note: feet in line with attackers front foot)


Defender: Slide back, remaining in jiyu-dachi



 

Chudan attack


Attacker: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)

Defender: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)


Attacker: Step in right chudan oi-zuki

Defender: Right maegeri


Defender: Step back after maegeri and left gedan barai


Defender: Right gyakazuki jodan


Defender: Slide back remaining in jiyu-dachi


 

Maegeri attack

Attacker: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)

Defender: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)


Attacker: Step in right chudan maegeri

Defender: Step through with right gedan barai


Defender: Turn and make left tate shuto


Defender: Right gyakazuki chudan


Defender: Slide back remaining in jiyu-dachi


 

Kekomi attack

Attacker: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)

Defender: Jiyu-dachi (Ready stance)


Attacker: Step in right chudan kekomi geri

Defender: Step back with left leg raising hands


Defender: Drop hands and parry kick connecting with ankle/instep (see below)
