On Sunday June 6th, the ladies of Newton Longville CFTS took part in the annual Milton Keynes Race for Life event.
The event is designed to raise awareness about cancer, and there were entrants of all ages. Each entrant had a card saying who they were running for, in pictures and words, including family members and friends.
Heart radio provided the aerobic warm-up and the atmosphere was amazing as over 3000 ladies and girls started to run, jog or walk the 5km or 10km course around Campbell Park. Sunday was overcast and cooler than the Saturday which helped a lot.
Pam Waterhouse, Zoe McMahon, Louise Thomas and Alexandra Thomas all completed the 5km run and the Newton Longville club, and CFTS, are very proud of their achievements.
If there are any ladies and girls that want to take part in the next event, let Pam Waterhouse know and CFTS will put in a bigger team next year!
