Kyu Gradings - December 2015

There was a good turnout at the Kyu gradings this month and the standards were again high. Renshi addressed all students and gave a special welcome to the new beginners from all clubs, including the new after-school club at Stewkley, which had nine students grading.

It is vital for the Federation to have a good influx of new students at every grading and all dan grades and students should do their utmost to promote CFTS and get new beginners in all clubs.

Renshi also stressed the need for attendance at the courses, now that the 2016 calendar has been issued and dates are known. All students must make a note of the dates and attend where possible. Remember that all students over yellow belt or over the age of 11 must attend at least one course a year. The first course for 2016 is Shotokai with Minh Chung Sensei and promises to be another great event. Tickets will go on sale from each dojo in the new year.

The quarterly trophy winners for December are:
