Kyu Gradings - 6th March 2022

Updated: Apr 20, 2022

Milton Keynes Area

It was a successful day for the graders, with a range of candidates from blue belt to brown/red (10th kyu to 1st kyu). Over 40 students from Newton Longville, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell and Green Park were in attendance, all eager to show what they had learnt and practised.

The standards were high and everyone tried their best and welcomed the feedback at the end.

The quarterly trophy winners were;

For Newton Longville, Ben Young, for his karate-do attitude, willingness to learn, attendance at extra lessons and being helpful to the other students.

For Bletchley, Keith Shire, for his continued support of the club and his daughter, always in good humour and keen to progress.

Well done to all the students that graded, the trophy winners and many thanks to the Dan grades that ably assisted in making the day so organised and seamless.

Beds Area

The Bedford Area grading was held on Saturday 5th March at Brickhill Community Centre, due to our usual grading venue now being unavailable. We had students going for blue belt right through to brown. There was about 40 students across the 3 Bedford Area clubs (Brickhill, Kempston and Oakley) that graded on the day and the standard overall was very high.

The trophy winner for Brickhill was Toby Lant, for still training whilst injured and supporting his family members in their preparation for the grading.

The trophy winner for Kempston was Helen Worthington-Smith, for her willingness to learn, attending extra classes and adapting so well to a new style of karate.

A massive well done to the quarterly trophy winners and candidates on the day and a big thank you to all the Dan grades who assisted on the day.

Clapham

The trophy winner for the quarter was Oliver Carton.
